Karate
On July 27, the Karate team participated in a tournament at the Mount Kenya University and won various belt awards as follows: Grace King’ori (Blue Belt), Esther Ngui (Green Belt), Caroline Muhirwe (Green Belt), Melchizedek Michira (Green Belt), Tumaini Micheni (Orange Belt), Pie Surwavuba (Yellow Belt) and Gahimbare Simon Pierre (Yellow Belt).
Pickleball
The Pickleball team showcased an outstanding performance at the Nairobi Pickleball Mixed Doubles Tournament Games held at Two Rivers Mall on July 27. The tournament featured a round-robin format followed by knockout stages. Teams competed in several matches to qualify for the quarter-finals, semifinals and finals.
Rugby
The rugby team took part in the Christie Sevens tournament over the weekend at the Impala Grounds. In their first game, the team faced Ngong and won 5-0, the second game, they faced Northern Suburbs and won 19-15. The last game of the day, the team played against Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA) and won 17-7. In the quarter-finals, the team played against Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA) and lost 7-12. In the semi-finals, the team faced Masaku and managed to win 42-0.
Hockey
The women’s hockey team participated in a tournament held at Greensteds International school on July 27 and 28. On the first day, the team played against Sliders, Blazers and Nakuru teams and secured a spot in the next stage of the tournament.
On the second day, the team played against Blazers and the game ended in a goalless score. This led to a shootout and Blazers won 2-1. The team was ranked second overall and won the most valuable player (Phina Misoi) and the top scorer was Achieng’.
