When I began the Online MBA program at USIU-Africa, I expected it to be disconnected from the rest of the university and to take a long time to complete. To my surprise, the program was intense, with close interaction with faculty and other students, and was designed for timely completion.
I finished the degree in under two years—something I had attempted unsuccessfully at other institutions.
Working in a highly technical field, I had often felt isolated from the broader organization, particularly from its business aspects. The Online MBA program at USIU-Africa helped me understand these “blind spots,” allowing me to make better technical decisions by recognizing their impact on the business. This insight has led my superiors to seek my input on business matters, positioning me as a bridge between the technical and business sides of the airline. As a result, I’ve gained confidence and have taken on responsibilities beyond my official duties.
For prospective Online MBA students, my advice is to start the program as soon as possible. The faculty support at USIU-Africa will ensure you make steady progress toward successful completion. Also, connect closely with your classmates. They will help you manage the workload and provide the academic and emotional support needed when things get overwhelming.
