Goal of The Program
The goal of the program is to cultivate life-long learners and innovative healthcare professionals who will provide comprehensive nursing care across all levels of the health system. Graduates will be equipped to deliver ethical, culturally competent, and evidence-based nursing services; engage in critical inquiry and research; assume leadership roles in nursing education and administration; and actively contribute to global health initiatives. The program emphasizes the development of critical thinking skills, social responsibility, and a commitment to continuous professional growth, preparing graduates to adapt to evolving healthcare challenges and make meaningful contributions to their communities and the nursing profession worldwide.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, the graduates will be able to:
- Integrate knowledge, behavioral skills, and a compassionate attitude in delivering patient-centered nursing care across diverse healthcare settings.
- Participate in decision making on health service delivery in varied global settings based on comprehensive health assessment.
- Provide ethical and evidence-based nursing care to individuals, families, and communities.
- Manage promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative health services in varied global settings
- Design and implement nursing training curricula within an acceptable professional, legal, and ethical framework.
Career Opportunities
Graduates can pursue diverse careers, including becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) providing direct patient care in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and community health centers.
Admissions Requirements
Applicants must have met the minimum entry requirements for the nursing degree course in Kenya as indicated below:
a. KCSE System of Education
Candidates wishing to enroll for the Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing shall have obtained a mean grade of at least C+ at KCSE or its equivalent and passed the cluster subject as indicated below:

b. A-Level
Principal passes in Biology and Chemistry and a subsidiary pass either in physics or Mathematics
