Call For Applications - Dual Vocational Training For Pharmaceutical Production Specialist Program

Program Overview
United States International University-Africa (USIU-A) in collaboration with the German Chamber of Commerce (AHK) and pharmaceutical industry partners has introduced dual vocational training, following the German model from the Pharmaceutical Industry in Kenya. The program aims to strengthen the local pharmaceutical industry in Kenya by developing a mass of skilled manpower. This shall result in enhanced self-sufficiency in the development and production of pharmaceutical products in line with international standards.

This 12 months training will qualify you in theory and practice at the required level as a Pharmaceutical Production Technician through modules covering:

  1. Raw Materials for Pharmaceutical Production
  2. Pharmaceutical Production Technology
  3. Pharmaceutical Production Equipment and Machines
  4. Quality Management in Pharmaceutical Production

Eligibility
Educational and Professional Qualifications:
a) Diploma in an Applied Science or Engineering field from a recognized and accredited institution

OR
b) Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with a mean grade of at least C (Plain) with a minimum C- grade in at least 2 science subjects (Physics / Mathematics, Chemistry or Biology)

OR
c) Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with a mean grade of at least D (Plain) (KCSE) and additional a Certificate in an Applied Science or Engineering field from a recognized and accredited institution

OR
d) Prior experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a similar industry.
e) Knowledge of basic GMP and other regulatory requirements applicable to pharmaceutical production.
