Profile:
Dr. Everlyn Oluoch-Suleh is an Assistant Professor of Linguistics in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Languages and Literature, United States International University – Africa.

She holds a Ph.D. in African Languages from the University of South Africa, a Master’s degree in Linguistics from the University of Nairobi, a Master of Arts degree in Intercultural Communication from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Linguistics/Literature) from the University of Nairobi. Dr Suleh also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education in Teaching and Learning with a specialization in ICTs for Teaching and Learning (South Africa) and a Trinity Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) - United Kingdom.

Dr. Suleh has published books and several peer-reviewed empirical studies. She is an associate editor and a reviewer in academic journals and has experience in online course content development, supervision, and external examination of postgraduate research locally and regionally.

Her research interests are in Theoretical linguistics, multilingualism, indigenous languages, language in education and language policy, education and sustainable development, language and culture, and teaching of English as a second language.
