Anastacia Ngunjiri

We are pleased to let you know that our alumna Ms. Anastacia Ngunjiri, Class of 2020, BA International Relations secured two scholarships to pursue Masters in Public Policy at SciencesPo Paris, France: Eiffel Excellence scholarship issued by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Emile-Boutmy scholarship issued by the university of SciencesPo.

Anastacia Ngunjiri is proud to state that “the completion of her undergraduate studies in International Relations at USIU-Africa was one of her greatest achievements.” She is glad to be starting graduate school immediately after her online graduation that took place last month (September, 2020).

Ms. Anastacia narrates that USIU-Africa offered her so many opportunities that she could only imagine of. During her studies, she was chosen to represent the university in the 2018 University Leaders Symposium in Bangkok, Thailand on humanitarian affairs.

She was a student leader of the Young Diplomats Forum in the capacity of a vice-president. Participation in activities like Model United Nations that are available in the university empowered her and instilled an interest in her for global development issues particularly in Africa.

During her studies she has volunteered with civil society organizations like Badili Africa Initiative which promote women inclusion in governance; and charity institutions like Joy Divine Gives Back that supports street families.

She desires to make a meaningful difference in communities locally and regionally which led her to the path of Public Policy. USIU-Africa opened a lot of avenues for her to learn and interact with people and events that informed her career path.

Ms. Anastacia applauds the support of all her lecturers during her studies; Prof. Maurice Mashiwa and Dr. Elijah Munyi were instrumental in guiding her through the direction of policy issues. Indeed, USIU-Africa offers ‘Education to take you places’, both physically and figuratively. Her mantra is, she owes her life to humanity because she is a product of Compassion.
