Students from Chandaria School of Business visit EADA Business School in Barcelona, Spain

Chandaria School of Business (CSOB) has continued to develop human resources for the global, regional and local labor market through the university’s robust transformative teaching and learning agenda. As part of the curriculum requirements for students pursuing both MBA-Global Business Management and MBA-Health and Leadership Management, the students were hosted by EADA Business School in Barcelona, Spain between July 1-5 and were accompanied by Prof. Juliana Namada, Chair Department of Business Administration. The program consisted of teaching hours and industry visits. The teaching hours focused on European business landscape, business strategy and doing business in Europe. The lectures were facilitated by EADA Business School while the company visits took place within Barcelona city.

The three company visits included Damm, a multinational company whose main business activity is focused on beer production. They toured the production plant and given a detailed explanation on the technical side of brewing beer. AENA is a company that manages the airport of Barcelona, a capital infrastructure as a hub of the economy, and toured the airport. Barcelona Activa, is a public agency in the area of Economy and Economic Promotion of the Barcelona City Council that promotes employment, entrepreneurship and business competitiveness.

At the end of the visit, students were presented with certificates of attendance by the Dean of EADA Business School who emphasized the need for international collaboration and engagement for global prosperity.
