Following a rigorous accreditation process, USIU-Africa has now joined 33 other institutions to become a pupillage center for the Kenya School of Law. The Kenya School of Law is the only training institution mandated to prepare holders of an undergraduate degree in law from a recognized university.

The second phase of the migration to digital Voice Over IP (VOIP) phones was successfully completed at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Chandaria School of Business.

USIU-Africa’s business incubation center - New Economy Venture Accelerator (NEVA) - organized a personal finance training session dabbed “Campus hangout” in partnership with Centonomy on Friday, May 27 at Centonomy’s headquarters in Westlands.

On Thursday, May 26, the Alumni Association Executive Committee met with former and current Student Affairs Council officials and Global Executive MBA class presidents for a cocktail event held at Fairmont The Norfolk. The meeting dealt with proposed engagement of alumni by way of former student leaders acting as ambassadors to their respective alumni classes.

USIU-Africa hosted a five-member team from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, United States, from May 23-27.

On Friday, May 20, faculty from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences in partnership with the Association of Teachers of Spanish – Kenya (ATS-Kenya), hosted approximately 150 USIU-Africa students of Spanish along with 40 Strathmore University students of Spanish on the importance of the famous Spanish novel - Don Quixote – in modelling modern ways of writing fiction.

On Thursday, 26 May United Nations Deputy Secretary General H.E. Jan Eliasson who delivered a public lecture on “The Power of Diplomacy in a Changing Global Landscape” at the auditorium. He spoke on a broad range of issues ranging from the challenges faced by diplomats in the current international sphere, to the role of the United Nations in building peace between nations.

USIU-Africa gets recognized at the 2015 African Global Excellence Awards
Nairobi Kenya, 10th May 2016. United States International University-Africa has been recognized by the African Excellence Awards 2015 for their PR and Communication Strategies. USIU-Africa has been awarded most outstanding in PR and communications in the Science and Technology category.

Prof. Paul T. Zeleza was installed as University Vice Chancellor on Thursday, April 7 during the inauguration ceremony presided over by the Chancellor Dr. Manu Chandaria. On hand to witness the inauguration was Prof. Zeleza’s spouse Prof. Cassandra Veney (Professor of International Relations), other members of his family and former colleagues such as Chief Justice and President of the Supreme Court Dr. Willy Mutunga.
