Exness Scholarship

Scholarship Overview
United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa) has partnered with Exness in its Fintech Scholarships program to offer academically talented young Kenyans facing financial constraints an opportunity to access and complete world-class university education in a STEM field.

The Exness Fintech Scholarship at USIU-Africa will provide full-cost scholarships to Kenyans who are first-time graduate degree-seeking applicants of Masters of Science in Information Security and continuing USIU-Africa students (Junior/Senior) pursuing undergraduate degrees in Data Science and Analytics and Software Engineering. The scholarship aims to equip exceptional students to become leaders in their fields.

The scholarship targets young Kenyans with the following qualities;

  • Academic talent
  • Leadership potential

The Exness Fintech Scholarships program is specifically designed to support exceptional students pursuing their degree in the wider areas of computer science, mathematics and financial engineering, with the aim to advance their skills and contribute to their local community.

Exness partnership with USIU-Africa is for a two-year period in the academic years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025, with a possibility of extension.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship applicants must;

  1. Be Kenyan citizen
  2. Demonstrate socio-economic disadvantage
  3. Demonstrate leadership potential/involvement
  4. For Master’s Scholarship – have first degree in IT related field with a GPA of 3.0 or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  5. For Undergraduate Scholarship – be continuing USIU-Africa student with a GPA of 3.0 and above in Data Science & Analytics and Software Engineering
  6. Must be interested in any of the approved 3 degree programs at USIU-Africa as follows:

What the Exness Scholarship Program covers:
The Exness Scholars at USIU-Africa will receive holistic support which includes:

  1. Tuition and functional fees;
  2. Laptop and library books;
  3. Reasonable accommodation and meals;
  4. Medical insurance;
  5. Stipend;
  6. Transport to and from home during term breaks;
  7. University wrap around support services which includes but not limited to Psycho-social support, career counseling and mentorship.
