Ungaya, Daisy Vuyanzi

We are pleased to inform you that Ungaya, Daisy Vuyanzi is the recipient of the Trinity Hall Philomathia Studentship, awarded annually to two applicants. The award is tenured at the University of Cambridge and will fund her education to pursue a Master of Philosophy in African Studies starting October 2020.

Daisy has completed her Undergraduate studies in BA International Relations and is set to graduate in September 2020. Daisy, is also the recipient of the Vice -Chancellor’s Award since Spring 2017. In addition, she volunteers at a Home of Peace which is a Girls Rescue Centre in Kakamega where she runs a mentorship programme.

At USIU- Africa Daisy participated in various academic conferences such as Toyin Folola Conference (TOFAC) and the African Studies Association for Africa (ASAA). Daisy is also grateful for the mentorship platform that USIU-Africa has offered and an opportunity to grow into a holistic individual. She is especially grateful for Dr. Njoki Wamai who is her mentor and adviser.

Like Daisy, such great personalities accentuate USIU-Africa as a competitive institution that aims to prepare its students for future success. Join us today and be part of ‘Education to take you places!’

Congratulations Daisy!
