We are pleased to let you know that, our soon-to-be Alumna, Beatrice Gachenge, has been appointed as the Head of Communication for sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) at Novartis, effective Saturday, August 1, 2020. Novartis is a global healthcare company based in Switzerland. Beatrice will be based in Nairobi, Kenya, which is the headquarters for the SSA region.

Beatrice has over 13 years of experience spanning across media, technology and the consulting industry. She started her career as a journalist and has worked for both local (Business Daily) and international media (Thomas Reuters and CNBC Africa). Prior to joining Novartis, Beatrice managed External Relations for Africa at McKinsey & Company. She has also worked in other organizations such as IBM (as the Communications Leader for East and West Africa) and Deloitte East Africa (as the Marketing and Communications Manager).

She holds a post-graduate diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing – UK and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Beatrice is set to graduate with a Master of Science in Management and Organizational Development from United States International University – Africa in 2020.
