Biography:

Dr. Samuel Karoki is an Associate Professor of Mathematics & Statistics at USIU-Africa in the School of Science & Technology. He joined USIU in September 2016 as a full-time time faculty. He started his teaching career in Egerton University as an Assistant Lecturer in December 1988. In 1995, he joined the Catholic University of Eastern Africa as a Lecturer where he taught for 21 years until 2016. During this period, he rose through the ranks to become Chairman, Department of Mathematics & Computer Science (2003 – 2012) and Dean, Faculty of Science (2013 – 2016). From the time he was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2005, he has successfully supervised both Master and PhD Dissertations in the area of Mathematical Statistics. He has published scientific papers in refereed Journals and presented the same in both local and international conferences. His current research works is in the areas of Survival Models and Data Analytics
