Personal Details

Philip Machoka is currently a Lecturer at the United States International University-Africa. He teaches courses in Information Systems both at the undergraduate and graduate level. His area of specialization is in the use of Information Systems in Organizations. He is currently conducting research in the adoption of m-commerce in Kenya.

Educational Background

Machoka is currently pursuing a PhD. in Information Systems at the University of Cape Town. The focus of his PhD. is on the adoption of M-commerce in Kenya. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) from the United States International University.

Professional Experience

He joined USIU in the year 2007 as a lecturer in Information Systems and Technology. Previously he worked in the industry as a Systems Administrator in the paper manufacturing company.
