Dr. Fredrick Selefano Odoyo, Assistant Professor of Accounting and Finance and Chair of the Department of Accounting, Finance, Economics & Hospitality in the Chandaria School of Business, embodies this through his impressive academic credentials, extensive teaching experience, and dedication to advancing knowledge in his field.

With a PhD in Accounting and Finance from Guru Nanak Dev University, India, dual Master's degrees in Commerce and Finance & Control, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Dr. Odoyo brings a wealth of academic and administrative expertise to the Chandaria School of Business, where he shapes the future of finance education for undergraduate and graduate students.

Dr. Odoyo embarked on his academic career immediately after completing his PhD, starting as a Lecturer at Kampala International University in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. He subsequently moved to the Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Kenya, initially as a Lecturer and progressing to Senior Lecturer over three years. Continuing his academic journey, he held the position of Senior Lecturer at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology for another three years before assuming his current leadership role at USIU-Africa.

In addition to teaching a diverse array of Accounting, Finance, Financial Markets, Auditing and Assurance, and Insurance courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, Dr. Odoyo has supervised numerous PhD and Master's students through their thesis and dissertation processes. His scholarly contributions include multiple publications in reputable journals, underscoring his dedication to advancing knowledge in his field.

Beyond academia, Dr. Odoyo serves as an esteemed external reviewer and examiner for Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology and the Management University of Africa. His academic pursuits and administrative leadership continue to enrich the academic community and shape the future of Accounting and Finance education.
