With over eight years of progressive experience in the finance sector, Faith Koros is a proud USIU-Africa alumnus, class of 2024, whose professional journey is shaped by excellence, ethics, and resilience. As an accountant at USIU-Africa since 2018, Faith has consistently merged technical expertise with continuous process improvements, leaving a lasting impact on institutional financial practices.

Her contributions have transformed the university’s financial operations through implementing cashless transactions systems enhancing statutory reporting, streamlining the management of ad hoc payments, and driving internal control improvements. Her initiatives have led to improved user satisfaction, strengthened budget accountability, and improved operational risk awareness.

Faith’s professional interests center around operational risk management and sustainability reporting which are key areas for future-ready institutions. But what sets her apart is her belief that integrity must anchor every financial decision. She advocates for always asking questions, no matter how basic they seem, and for taking full ownership of one’s actions including learning from mistakes. Her openness and honesty have made her a valued mentor to younger professionals navigating complex financial systems. In everything she does, Faith brings a quiet strength and a warm smile even in the face of pressure. “Smiling through challenges, isn’t denial; it’s defiance with grace,” she says

Faith is a certified accountant, holding memberships with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). She holds a Master of Business Administration from USIU-Africa, a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University (First Class Honors), and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Statistics from the University of Nairobi.
