USIU-Africa holds inaugural Graduate Networking: A game changer for postgraduate engagement
On March 15, USIU-Africa held the inaugural USIU- Africa Graduate Networking event at Safari Park Hotel hosting over 200 Doctoral and Master’s students. Designed as a platform for mentorship, career growth, and professional collaboration, the event brought together students, alumni, faculty, and industry leaders in an inspiring exchange of ideas and opportunities.
Spearheaded by the Graduate School's Electoral College representatives in collaboration with Student Life Department, this initiative sought to foster a sense of belonging and professional readiness among graduate students by offering a platform that can address their unique professional and academic aspirations.
The event was more than just a meet up. There were thought provoking discussions that watered down to the need for connections and networks in personal and professional growth. CEO of Jubilee Holdings, Dr. Julius Kipng’etich who was the Keynote speaker urged the students to reflect on Africa’s evolving role in the global landscape. A message that sparked discussions on leadership, innovation, and the importance of shaping the continent’s future.
Additionally, there was an enriching panel discussion from a team of experts each accomplished in their own fields. The session provided an engaging platform where students directly interacted with industry leaders, gaining critical insights into career growth, professional development and industry perspectives.
