Graduation of the EDGE Program’s first cohort held at USIU-Africa

USIU-Africa through the Student Life Division, recently celebrated the graduation of the first cohort of the Excellence, Development, Growth, and Empowerment (EDGE) Program. This program has been a transformative experience for many, providing students with the skills and confidence to navigate an ever-changing job market.
The EDGE program fosters personal as well as professional growth and provides practical experience outside the classroom. Over the past months, students have immersed themselves in a blend of rigorous sessions and activities, hands-on projects, and mentoring led by facilitators from the alumni group, key industry professionals, staff and faculty. Each participant brought their own unique background and experiences, enriching discussions and collaborations.
These 40 graduates have shown remarkable dedication and resilience with most of them strengthening their resolve to engage with the community. From innovative projects where they tackled real-world issues, showcasing their creativity and problem-solving abilities to networking engagements which saw the graduates build valuable connections with industry leaders and potential employers, the graduates have been well prepared for the competitive job market.
This graduation event was more than just a ceremony; it was a celebration of potential and resilience. From inspiring speeches to recognition of excellence to networking opportunities, the day was nothing short of amazing. Graduates connected with alumni and industry professionals, paving the way for future collaborations.
