Daphne is a seasoned banking professional with a vast experience in commercial banking gained from leading financial service organizations in Kenya. She is a transformational leader who has worked with teams across different Departments including operations, corporate and retail banking. Daphne is currently the Deputy CEO & Executive Director at Commercial International Bank (CIB) Kenya.
Before her current role, Daphne led the bank as the Acting CEO, where she provided leadership during a critical transition period. Prior to that, as Head of Business Development, she was responsible for overseeing the bank's entire business which included Branches, Corporate & Commercial Banking, SME, and Retail banking segments, driving both balance sheet growth and profitability.
Daphne's journey with CIB began on March 1, 2016 where she played a key role in setting up the bank's operations thereafter, leading the transition to CIB Kenya from a business perspective following full acquisition by CIB Egypt, the largest private sector bank in Egypt. She also served as Head of Corporate & Commercial Banking, managing relationships with corporate entities, where the Department attained profitability after just two years. Earlier in her career, Daphne made significant contributions to banking in operations and business Departments.
Daphne holds a Master of Business Administration in Global Business Management and a Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration, both from USIU-Africa.
