By: Alumni Department
The Alumni Relations Office hosted the third and fourth editions of the Vice Chancellor’s Breakfast series at Villa Rosa Kempinski Hotel and Nairobi Serena Hotel on October 10 and 18, respectively. The events brought together a select number of alumni for a productive 'Meet & Greet' with the university’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Mwenda Ntarangwi.
The meetings allow for alumni to connect and share their professional experiences, and gives the Vice Chancellor an opportunity to present his vision for the university. Prof. Ntarangwi highlighted the importance of forging deeper connections between the university and its alumni, encouraging initiatives like alumni giving-back, creating a storytelling narrative to enhance the university’s brand identity, and setting up USIU-Africa as a center for professional and research development, emphasizing the importance of using both student-driven and alumni-led research to benefit both the students, alumni and society at large.
The breakfast series fosters an enriching exchange of ideas and underscores the invaluable role of alumni in enriching the university's community and shaping the experiences of future graduates. As USIU-Africa continues to nurture these connections, it looks forward to deepening alumni collaboration and expanding opportunities for impactful engagement across various sectors.
