This event brought together some of the brightest minds from various universities across Kenya, providing a platform for spirited debate and intellectual exchange.

SADS fielded two exceptional teams in this year’s championship who had outstanding performances: Wanjiru Karugu & Joshua Wambugu and Joy Wairimu & Maria Marenga. Both teams made it to the quarterfinals, demonstrating their strong debating skills and teamwork. Notably, Wanjiru Karugu and Joshua Wambugu advanced to the semi-finals, a remarkable achievement that underscores their dedication and preparation. In addition to team successes, Maria Marenga excelled in the Public Speaking category, making it to the quarterfinals. Her performance highlighted her eloquence and ability to engage an audience effectively.

The competition was fierce, with numerous talented participants vying for top honors. Joshua Wambugu distinguished and was named the 7th Best Speaker of the tournament. This accolade reflects his exceptional speaking abilities and strategic thinking during debates, contributing significantly to SADS's overall success at KUDC.

Despite the tough competition, the experience was enriching for all participants. The event not only allowed SADS members to hone their debating skills but also fostered camaraderie among debaters from different institutions. The insights gained from engaging with peers and seasoned speakers will undoubtedly benefit SADS members in future competitions.

In conclusion, KUDC serves as a vital platform for nurturing young debaters in Kenya, and SADS's participation demonstrates its commitment to excellence in debate. As they reflect on their achievements at this year's championship, SADS looks forward to continued growth and success in future tournaments. SADS's performance at the KUDC is a testament to their hard work, resilience, and passion for debate. With each event, they continue to raise the bar for themselves and inspire others within the university community.
