On Monday, May 6, Alliance for African Partnership (AAP) held a showcase event aimed at raising awareness about the AAP consortium, its activities and the impact it is making on member institutions. The hybrid event provided a platform for faculty, staff and students to interact with the AAP leadership in Africa, as well as showcase research projects and other interventions undertaken with AAP support.

Additionally, participants engaged in discussions around USIU-Africa’s research interests, other emerging research interests and flagship programs that can be implemented under the umbrella of the consortium.

Under the umbrella of AAP Consortium, USIU-Africa has benefited through programs like the Partnerships for Innovative Research in Africa (PIRA), the African Futures Research Leadership Program, and the USAID-funded Kenya Empowered Youth program among others.

Founded by Michigan State University in 2016 in collaboration with African colleagues, the Alliance for African Partnership (AAP) is a consortium of MSU, ten leading African universities, and a distinguished network for African research institutes. https://aap.isp.msu.edu/
