On Thursday March 2, Jubilee Health Insurance in partnership with the Aga Khan University Hospital held a successful blood drive on the and free medical check-up event on campus. The event was attended by students, faculty, and staff members of USIU-Africa.
The purpose of the event was to promote community service and health awareness. As part of Jubilee Insurance’s commitment to the community, they also offered a free mental health talk by Dr. Sarah Kiburi from Aga Khan University Hospital to address campus challenges and promote mental health. The session was interactive with students getting one on one advice and guidance.
This event was a success, with the team able to collect a significant amount of blood donations from the participants with 69 donating blood. Through this initiative, the USIU-Africa community was able to give back to society and make a meaningful impact.
