James Cutha Gathere has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business Administration from the School of Business at USIU-Africa (Class of 2007).

He possesses vast experience working in the Kenyan Media industry having worked for Capital FM, Nation Media Group and Magnate Ventures Ltd. He was part of the “first wave” of the digital ecommerce revolution in the country as the General Manager of Ringier Kenya owners of the brands “RUPU & PIGIAME”

A serial Entrepreneur, he prides himself with running Maverick One Ltd, a business that has investments in various sectors of the economy.

His has passion for Leadership and Service to others. Qualities that led him to want to be part of the USIU-Africa Alumni Association. He wants to revamp and inject new Energy into the Alumni Association to bring all its 25,000 current alumni and future alumni together.
