Sarah Musau

Sarah Musau is a current PhD candidate in Diplomacy and International Affairs. She holds a Master of Arts in International Development/Human Rights from University of Pavia-Italy, and a Bachelor of Art in Criminal Justice (graduated among the best top three in CJ program) from the United States International University – Africa, class of 2014.

She has over five years’ experience drawn from working with highly prestigious organizations such as the United Nations in New York, British High Commission-Nairobi, WeWorld-Tanzania, among others.

She serves on numerous advisory boards including the Global Business Coalition for Education Youth Innovation and Skills Council, the Commonwealth Children and Youth Disability Network, the Commonwealth Disabled People’s Forum, Theirworld Global Youth Advisory Board, among others.

She is an Associate Fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society, 2019 United Nations Population Fund Fellow, 2018 Utumishi Bora Awards Juror, 2018 One Young World Summit 1-in-5 scholar, 2018 Kectil Fellow, 2017 second runners up-Queen’s Young Leaders, 2015 UN-HABITAT Youth Advisory Board Nominee, Their world’s Global Youth Ambassador of the month (June 2018 and May 2020) among others. Driven by social change and human rights for all, Sarah is the Co-founder and Co-director at Gifted Community Centre that advocates for the rights of youth with disabilities in Nairobi. Someday, she envisions to return to her alma mater-USIU not as a student but as a professor.
