USIU-Africa Carnegie Diaspora Fellowship program
The United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa) has partnered with the Institute of International Education, to offer the Carnegie Africa Diaspora Fellowship Program; a scholar fellowship program for educational projects at African higher education institutions.
Funded by a grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York (CCNY), the Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program has - for the first two years - supported 110 short-term faculty fellowships for African-born academics, to collaborate with 68 African institutions of higher learning in Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya and South Africa in the areas of research, curriculum development and graduate student teaching, training and mentoring. In October 2015, additional funding was secured from CCNY to support up to 140 fellowships.
