Recently the club participated in a medical camp organized by Out of the Street Foundation, at Pangani's Mlango Kubwa slum on Thursday, June 1. Members of the club were involved in door to door mobilization of people, registration of patients, taking of vitals, coordination of the whole process and cooking. The students got a glimpse into the squalor and deprivation prevalent in the slum, while sharing a meal with the street children, as they listened to their life stories.
This Saturday, June 10, the students will join Citibank as they commemorate their 12th Annual Global Community Day at Friends Secondary School in Dandora. The bank has organized a reading camp, a book donation, mentoring and career talks, rehabilitation of the school's library, and tree planting.
