USIU has partnered with seven international universities to give its students the chance to get involved with the student exchange program. The program gives students the opportunity to learn and interact with students from different cultures in a foreign country. USIU promotes global understanding and multicultural perspectives to its students to ensure that they become culturally-sensitive and; acquire a clear understanding of historical, political and geographic matters while studying and living abroad.
Claflin University is a comprehensive institution of higher education affiliated with The United Methodist Church and is located in Orangeburg, South Carolina, USA. It is a historically black university, founded in 1869, which is committed in providing students with access to exemplary educational opportunities in its undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs. Students studying at Claflin will receive an education where emphasis is placed on critical and analytical thinking, independent research, and oral and written communication skills. These will enable students to use disciplined study to explore and confront substantive challenges facing the global society.

Lincoln University offers academic programs in undergraduate and graduate studies in the arts and sciences. It was formally an institute for male youths of African descent in the 1800’s and later became a coeducational university after admitting women in 1952. Lincoln University is located in southern Chester County, Lincoln, Pennsylvania, USA. The university attracts interracial and international enrollment from the surrounding community, region and around the world. Some of its most famous alumni are: Thurgood Marshall (Class of 1930), the first African-American Justice of the US Supreme Court; Kwame Nkrumah (Class of 1939), Ghana’s first president; and NnamdiAzikiwe (Class of 1930), Nigeria’s first president.

North Central College is a nationally-recognized liberal arts university located in Naperville, Illinois, USA. The university gives international students the opportunity to begin hands-on research in their first year, connect with a local ‘Friendship Family’ and student mentor during orientation, and become part of an honors program.  International students are encouraged to join clubs and organizations while on campus so as to get to know other students. The clubs and organizations include Model United Nations, Students in Free Enterprise, and American Marketing Association.

Hochschule Bremen University is located in the heart of Bremen Neustadt, Germany. It has approximately 8000 students enrolled in 70 degree courses about two-thirds of whom are required to complete semesters of study abroad. Bremen University is constantly working at improving structures and processes to reach a high quality standard in teaching, studies and research. To develop its cultural image, the university offers a range of activities in the field of performing arts for students that create a relevance to professional practice during their undergraduate studies. The activities include a writing workshop, a theater workshop, and the opportunity to polish and perfect rhetorical abilities.

American Business School is based on the American academic system with a European touch. Located in Paris, France, the school’s Bachelor of Business Administration received special accreditation through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). While in the university students are encouraged to join sports teams or attend events and activities organized by the student government which will help ease their transition into the new school.

Kansai Gaidai University is a private, nonprofit institution comprised of Kansai Gaidai University, Kansai Gaidai College, the Graduate School and the Asian Studies Program. The campuses are located in Kirakata City, Osaka, Japan accessible within a one-hour train ride to Kyoto and Nara the country’s two ancient capitals. Students studying Japanese in USIU are highly encouraged to take the student exchange opportunity. At the Kansai Gaidai University, students can sign up for the Speaking Partner Program which will link them with a local university student that will help acquaint them to their new environment.

Linnaeus University is located in the Smaland region of southern Sweden and it is a relatively new university as a result of a merger between Kalmar University and Vaxjo University. The Kalmar campus is noted for its prominent researching in the natural sciences; the Vaxjo campus the humanities and social sciences have strong research centers connected with the forestry and wood industry.While studying at the university, international students with blogs can contact the International Relations Office to have their blogs published on the university’s web page.
