Executive Master of Science in Organizational Development (EMOD)
The United States International University (USIU) School of Business in partnership with The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation and The Africa-America Institute (AAI) is offering the Executive Master of Science in Organizational Development (EMOD) degree program. The EMOD program seeks to equip managers in Africa with cutting-edge leadership and management skills. The program begins in the Fall 2009 Semester (September 2009).
Dual Accreditation in Kenya and United States

This dual accreditation guarantees quality education and transferability of credits from USIU to any university in Kenya, USA and the rest of the world.

Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the degree program, graduates should be able to:
• Prepare and interpret accounting and financial data for managerial decisions.
• Analyze organizational behavior and recommend appropriate organizational
development interventions.
• Demonstrate transformational leadership and change management skills.
• Formulate, analyze and evaluate strategic management and human resource
management decisions and plans.
• Design and evaluate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies and programs
in a multicultural environment.
• Prepare grant proposals for fundraising and demonstrate ability to manage project
resources.
• Develop research project proposals, collect data, and prepare project reports.
TARGET GROUP
Prospective middle and senior managers with a demonstrable relationship with any
one of the institutions below may apply:
• Local and international non-governmental organizations
• Public and private educational institutions
• Health institutions
• Faith-based institutions
Admission criteria
• Applicants should be holders of at least a bachelor’s degree in any field of specialization from a recognized university.
• Applicants should also have a minimum of three years working experience in middle, supervisory, or executive level management.
• Applicants may choose to be admitted to either full-time (day) or part-time (evening and weekend) basis for one calendar year (approximately three semesters). Tuition fees
• Tuition fees are US$ 4,800 per year for self-sponsored or company-sponsored
candidates.
The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation scholarships
• Qualified candidates from Botswana, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Senegal South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe are also eligible for a limited number of The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation scholarships.
• Ten (10) full scholarship awards covering full tuition fees of US$ 4,800 and a monthly stipend of US$ 700 are available.
• Ten (10) partial scholarships covering tuition fees of US$ 4,800 per year are available.
• Applicants must be nominated by their respective companies/employers.
• The recipients of these scholarships should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or an upper second class honors degree.
• Successful candidates will be admitted to attend the day classes and will be required to maintain a good academic standing (GPA 3.2) throughout the study period.

• Certified copies of academic and professional certificates.
• Copy of national identity card or passport.
• Completed letter of nomination.
• Completed working experience form.
• Two passport-size photographs.
• Payment of Ksh. 3,000 (US$ 50) application processing fee.
