| International applicants are considered for admissions on the same basis as local applicants but must also demonstrate English proficiency. All students for whom English is not a first language are required to show English proficiency before beginning an academic program. Students from countries where English is the official language will be exempt from the USIU English proficiency requirement unless their academic performance at USIU reveals the need for additional English language study. As such, the University reserves the right to make the final determination of a student’s English proficiency level in all cases.
GMAT/GRE
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and Graduate Record Examination (GRE) are standardized tests designed to measure basic verbal, mathematical, and analytical writing skills that have been developed over a long period of time through education and work. These exams do not measure:
GMAT/GRE exams are available online year-round at test centers through out the World. The test score submitted must be current within the last five years, and all needed registration information is in the ‘Appointments’ section of the GMAT & GRE websites at:

Placement Tests
Placement tests in English, Mathematics and Computer competency are required for all entering undergraduate students. The tests are offered to admitted undergraduates either during the orientation or their first term of study.
All admitted Graduate students must also sit for the Computer competency test during the graduate orientation or their first term of study.
