Your first Counseling Visit

- When you come to the Counseling Center you will start with the office administrator at the reception who will check you in and connect you with a counselor.
- You will sign a confidentiality and consent form with your counselor. Your privacy will be respected and your information will not be released to a third party without your consent unless there is proven threat to life.
- A supportive network and working relationship with other departments in USIU-Africa will be used upon agreement with you.
- Ethically speaking information shared during counseling sessions is CONFIDENTIAL (unless there is proven threat to life), with each staff member bound to the professional code of ethics.
